Neck injuries

Many neck injuries can be effectively self managed with the help of expert advice from a Chartered Physiotherapist / Physical Therapist.

One of the most common neck injuries is whiplash. Whiplash is soft tissue injury to the ligaments and muscles that support the neck it is caused by sudden uncontrolled movement to the neck. The cervical discs may also be affected. Neck pain can cause pain in the arms, and sometimes, pain, pins and needles and numbness in the hand. Mattress, pillows and sleeping position are importmant when managing neck pain
